Writing Exercise: Editing is an important part of writing. Who edits your writing? What are you looking for in a critique partner? List specifics. Share in the Comment Section. My response is below.
I joined a Christian Writing Group, 1st Writes, over a year ago and it was one of the best things I ever did. It encouraged me to stretch myself in new ways and to share my writing out loud with others. The words have been pouring out ever since.
We share our writing, do devotions, critique, learn writing tips, and encourage each other. In addition, three of us from the group e-mail our writing to each other for more in-depth critiques. I've gotten some great suggestions that I would never have thought of on my own. I can't imagine writing without "my group".

What I appreciate from them is:
- honest suggestions
- help with grammar, punctuation, etc.
- help to get word count down (it's hard to cut your own words!)
- their encouragement and support!
