"Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness," Hebrews 3:7-8 (ESV)
I am trying to be expectant every day that I will hear God's voice or see God in the little things of life. I want to be open to experiencing Him. I'll miss Him if I have a hardened heart.
Today, I caught myself several times getting ready to say negative things, but I shut my mouth before they popped out. I told my co-worker (a fellow Christian) that I was working on saying only things that were positive and encouraging. I want to be that kind of person, today and everyday.
Lord, soften my heart. Change my behavior into one that is pleasing to you. And, continue to put a guard at my mouth. In Jesus' name. Amen.
