No Matter Who You Are...

Vacation Bible School is coming up, so I've got that on my mind. I co-lead the opening and the closing. I get to sing, dance, and act...it's great! But besides having fun, though, I have a very important task to share the love of Christ with kids.

This year, the Bible point is "No matter who you are...trust God!". All the songs are about trusting God and like usual, I'm singing them at work and in the car. Trust God. I'm letting that soak in.

This got me thinking about my writing. God made each of us different. Some have the talent with number (not me) and some have talent with music (again, not me) and some have talent with words (I like to think God gave me that one).

Well, no matter what talents and gifts he gave each of us, our sole (and soul) purpose is for God. We are his. We are to trust him. If God made you a writer, he wants you to use your skills for his glory. Trust in him and he will use it.

What are you contemplating this week?

  1. This week I am contemplating change--sometimes it is slow and I chomp at the bit. Other times it takes me by surprise and I resist.

  2. Such a great thing to contemplate. God made people with patience and intelligence, doctors, musicians, nurses, astronauts, and each have their own gift. Writers are all different too. We have different strong points and it's one of those amazing God things. :)

    1. Krista,
It certainly is. And what is so cool is that we are each made in his image. I can't even fathom the many facets of God. It is beyond comprehension.

  3. VBS has been on my mind too, and it amazes me how close I get to God just through thinking about the upcoming experiences, which made me contemplate, is VBS really just for the kids?

    1. Brianna,
I know! I feel the same way. One of the BEST things is the worship time. Singing and dancing and praising God with the kids...that's got to be one of the best worship times ever.
