Blog Name

Is the name of a blog important? I think so. It sums up the entire blog in one word or phrase. It can pack a powerful punch or fall flat if the blog doesn't deliver what it's name implies. Here are some blogs I follow. What do you think they are about by their name?

I was thinking back to when I created my blog back in early 2011 and why I named it "The Write Soil". I based the title on Luke, Chapter 8:4-21 in the Bible.

The Parable of the Seed
"And when a great multitude were coming together, and those from the various cities were journeying to Him, He spoke by way of a parable: 'The sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell beside the road; and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the air ate it up. And other seed fell on rocky soil, and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. And other seed fell among the thorns; and the thorns grew up with it, and choked it out. And other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great.'"

I wanted my writing and my blog to grow in good soil built on the firm foundation of Jesus. That is just as true today as it was in 2011.
