  1. Excellent reminder. :) I remember the days when I relied on adverbs, because I didn't trust that my readers would know exactly how my characters said something. Now I focus on the actual dialogue line, with no need to add "she said sarcastically." ;)

    1. Oh my gosh, that is how I write, too! I guess I'm not confident enough in my dialogue! Wow, who would have thought?

      I often want to put adverbs in, but I try really hard to resist. It has to be really important for me to keep it in.

  5. I have been trying very hard to remember this in my writing. It is difficult for those of us Jennifer refers to as "Adverb Addicts", but it makes total sense. :)
