A to Z Challenge - "V"

Writing Tips & Sticks Series -- V is for VIP!

My own response to VIP:

My VIP is Jesus.

What I can learn from him -- His willingness to share the truth with people. His willingness to give it all. His love for others.

A quote from the Bible -- "Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!" Psalm 43:3

How can I apply what I learned from Jesus to my life? -- I can think before I write. Even in my fiction, I can share "truth" via my theme. I can also choose to write more devotions. I can pray more about what I write, asking Jesus to bless my work and inspire me with ideas.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you around A to Z!

  1. Christ would have to be my VIP too. We certainly won't receive better advice from anyone else. :-)

You are also a VIP to me!
    - I learn from you to always keep God first in my writing.
    - Even in my fiction, I can share "truth" via my theme.
Something I keep in mind when working on my book thanks to you!
    - I can apply what you've taught me by actually working on my book ;)

  3. Well, we're all huge fans of the same "Guy." :)

I once tried to emulate a favorite author. Years later (as in this past weekend) I picked up her books again in anticipation of a long-awaited new release from her--the first in years-- and read my favorite book.

I wanted to throw it! She's a good writer. She is. But honestly, she used the word "had" more times on a single page than I allow myself in a book! I was going insane!

Better to stick to "the Author and Finisher of our faith."
