A to Z Devotion: X is for Xenagogue

"In the same way, let your light shine before others..." Matthew 5:16 (ESV)

"...they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit." Matthew 15:14 (NIV)

Xenagogue -  a guide, someone who conducts strangers.

We, who are Christians, are to be xenagogues to the world. If we keep silent, the lost are left blind and will fall into the pit. But, if we shine Christ's light, the lost will be attracted to Jesus for He is the light of the world. His light is eternal life. If we point people to Him, He will take care of the rest.

Did you have a "xenagogue" that pointed you to Jesus?

  1. I grew up in a Christian home, so first would be family, but also Sunday School teachers had a lot of impact in my decision to follow Jesus.

    1. Susan, I would say, my grandmother. She is the one who gave me a Bible and took me to church when I visited her. She planted the seed.

  3. Great post for X, Dawn! I have had many over the years, but the first was probably Bill and Peggy Williams, one of my mom's pastors and his wife. What awesome examples of Christ-followers they are!
