Blocked -
unable to think of a darn thing to write Don't you wish you could just use the Bat Phone for help with writer's block? When I'm blocked, I pray or go to the Bible for inspiration.
When you are "blocked", how do you get the creative juices flowing again?
Love the picture, Dawn! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhen I am blocked I look out the window. God will draw my attention to something I see there and speak a message to my heart.
Loving your series, my friend!
Thanks, Pam. I love the Bat Phone. Sure wish it worked. Hee hee. It's so nice to be able to look to God for inspiration. He's never let me down.
DeleteWhen you find that Batphone for blocked writer please share! LOL ....
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my first A to Z blog challenge entry. My blog host is having 'issues' this morning hopefully can get my post for today up soon.... It will be'berry berry delicious'...
To get 'unblocked...I doodle and or scream and jump up & down a lot...if those tactics fail there is a good chance I need More coffee!!!! ;)
Have a healthy & funfilled day!
Debbie aka: DayLee @ DayLee Health Nuggets
Debbie, Coffee is a must! Doodling is good too. :0)
DeleteFellow A to Z challenger stopping by to say hello! I would like to place an order for one bat phone, overnight delivery please :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Sorry, the Bat Phone is on back order.
DeleteMy kids. The day to day that goes by tend to be enough crazy to bring something new to mind. As long as I look through a different perspective. A 2 year old's eyes works!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Ranch Mama, You are still in the little child phase. You have more issues that just writer’s block. ;0) You have time issues – finding time to write! But, don’t waste one precious moment with the kiddos...the grow up too too fast.
DeleteI use my pizza phone. When in doubt, order a pizza!
ReplyDeletemood
Hey, I want a pizza phone (said like Veruca Salt on Willy Wonka)!
DeleteI want it N-O-W! :0)
I go for a walk, refresh my eyes with views of beauty, and then return to writing.
ReplyDeleteSusan, Great remedy.
DeleteYes to the batphone. I started writing ideas in a notebook for future use, but sometimes even with a great idea, sitting in front of a screen trying to develop a story is painful.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having fun with the A to Z Challenge! Here's mine for today: A Girl and her Diary
Stephsco, Notebook is a good idea for ideas to keep them all in one place!
DeleteWriter's block is every writer's nightmare. I don't have a batphone but I would use the dragonphone, hehehe.
ReplyDeleteFather Dragon Writes
Al...good one! What does a dragonphone look like?
DeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteI like your way of overcoming writer's block!
Smile. Hope A to Z is going good for you.
DeleteKimmy, Awesome! Thank you! I enjoyed visiting your blog earlier.
ReplyDeleteHa! The image is awesome! I have a ton of story starters, books, worksheets, and toolkits to help with writer's block. My problem is more procrastination as to being blocked.... and probably laziness :)

(also from treadmillconfessions on wp)
Tomara, so glad you like it!
DeleteOhhh...procrastination. See my post for "D" on that one. Different word, but same definition! LOL!
I'm never blocked until I get to revisions and then I struggle! I don't know why I can edit professionally, but not my own work.
ReplyDeleteDani, Editing is the worst!
DeleteWhenever I have writer's block, I look through my things and photos for inspiration. It also helps me to do a few minutes of free writing, where I write whatever comes to mind and can't stop writing until time is up.
ReplyDelete- T'Laina (usuallyboring.blogspot)
T'Laina, free flow is a good idea! It's funny sometimes to see where free flow goes.
DeleteI haven't been blogging long so I haven't ran into this much - until now. I'm going to need that Bat Phone for the entire month of April, if you don't mind!
ReplyDeleteJulie, surely you jest! You're doing great so far! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThank god for the Bat Phone. seriously, where would we be without it? with three kids I'm never blocked, but there is that whole 'too much sharing' problem. a fine line. But my sons are 20 & 18 so, if they screw up it's fair game for mommy's writing. I'm much more thoughtful when it comes to the darling daughter, so far...
ReplyDeleteYeah, "too much sharing"...folks need to be careful about that. It's too easy with social media. Thanks for commenting!
DeleteLove the picture - I wish I had a Bat phone or an easy fix for writer's block, but I don't. Usually some reading or watching a movie will inspire me again. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Krista! Yeah, me too!
Deleteto get inspiration i usually just go outside and stray a bit from my usual routine. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good idea. I need to stray away from my computer for a bit! Bum's hurting.
