Loner -
writes alone for long, lonely hours
I don't mind my own company. I can work for hours by myself, but I still need to connect with other writers. Thank goodness for my writing group, 1st Writes. They understand, they encourage, and they help me improve my writing. Writers, find yourself a writing group! You don't have to do it all alone!
As a writer, do you mind working alone? Do you have a writing group?
I enjoy early morning by myself to write, but, like you, I need a writing group to stay motivated, to get me through the deserts and doldrums of writing. Thankfully, we have wonderful fellowship of 1st Writes.
ReplyDeleteI do my best in the morning too.
DeleteI enjoy being on my own, I can turn up the music and sing along to the songs while paint. To be fair I don't think that would work well for writers tho...
ReplyDeleteJette, No, music would not work for me. I can't even stand having TV on or family talking.
DeleteI like working alone, but I need deadlines to help me organize my time.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
Dana, I like deadlines too. I'm not always structured enough on my own.
DeleteHey Dawn! Popping in from the a-z. I think we met during LAST year's a-z. I love working alone too. I can read and write the day away. The older I get, the more introvert-ish I'm becoming. :-) I can relate to the post very much.
ReplyDeleteHi Mare, Yes we did visit last A to Z and some in between. I also have no problem hiding away to write.
DeleteI love working alone.
ReplyDeleteBut sometimes I would like to write/talk about what I wrote. About my feelings. On household and book writing and raising children :-) So I am still looking for an old-fashioned pen pal :-).
Here in the Netherlands are organizations, which organize meetings for writers. Sometimes I go there. I learn. The contact is nice. But I prefer to read books about writing.
Jedidja, Pen pals can be so much fun! I also love to read books about writing.
DeleteI'm an only child, so I was always good at amusing myself. I don't mind spending hours by myself writing or working.
ReplyDeleteI never had a problem amusing myself either. In fact, I preferred it.
