Attributes of Writers - J

Writers are a special breed. We have unique qualities that help us make music with our words. Those same qualities might also put us in the loony bin, but isn't it worth it?! So, pull up a chair, let's explore our "specialness" together through the A to Z Challenge. If we can understand our attributes as writers, we can be cured, right?                   Dawn (P.S. Thanks for stopping by. Writing is lonely and I need your company!)

A writer is a...
Jotter -
note-taker, sticky-lover, idea-saver

I write ideas down on stickies and note cards, but once written, I forget to go back and look at them. I need an idea organizer.

Are you a "jotter"? What do you jot on? Does your system work for you?

  1. I used to use cards, but now I use software that emulates cards. Less messy.

  2. I write down ideas for paintings on everything, the problem is sometimes I won't find them or I have paper with just some random scribbles on them.

  3. I don't have any system, but write down ideas in notebooks, my phone and on scraps of paper. Most of them get lost, but sometimes I stumble across them again and do something with them. Really should get more organised! :-)
